Study Shows That Men Find Drunk And Dim Witter Women More Attractive – Duh
ReadTheHorn.com: At a club, there is always that one guy who is trying to hook up with that girl. The girl isn’t the prettiest, is probably drunk, is ditzy, and is clearly willing to engage in a one-night rendezvous. And despite the plenty of other women who were probably prettier, smarter, and nicer, he chose to settle for the “dumb, drunk” one. So why do men lower their standards? According to a new study, any traits suggesting that a woman’s guard is down are exactly what men look for in a one-night stand.
In a study carried out by University of Texas-Austin graduate student Cari Goetz and her colleagues, they tested the sexual exploitability hypothesis. In short, the hypothesis gives reasoning that men are more likely to engage in a one-night stand than women because it doesn’t result in any detrimental affects to his genetic interests. The study consisted of a main study and a follow-up in which male participants were asked to express their thoughts on pictures of women based on their “overall attractiveness, how easy it would be to exploit her, and her appeal to them as either a short term or long- term partner.”
Unsurprisingly, the pictures of women who appeared dim-witted, inebriated, or scandalous, were all regarded as an easy “lay.” Yet they were also considered to be more attractive than women who appeared smarter and more conservative. However, these women appeared lack-luster if they were to be considered as a long-term partner in a committed relationship.
An interesting finding in the follow-up study was that men who “play the field” more often and who lack compassion are more likely to pick up on signs of female vulnerability and “exploitability.” Opposite of this was that more caring and sensitive men were less likely to detect or respond to women’s cues of sexual exploitability. Although the study raises much criticism, it still raises some important questions.. For example, it’s understandable to say intoxicated women are easy “lays,” but it’s very different to say that intoxicated women are also considered more attractive. To prove or disprove that, further research will need to be conducted.
When will all these “scientist” get a clue. Men like sex. Period. You ask us what we want from women, we want sex. After sex we want peace and quiet second. Third we want a clean house, good meals, love, companionship, etc. But, and here’s the big but, we will forgo the third things if it means we get sex and peace and quiet. Having all those third things you get with a “long term partner” in most men’s minds, means you don’t get much sex and you get very little peace and quiet. This is why at least for most men we will find a woman that we THINK is an easy lay is more attractive. Sure the supermodel is hotter looks wise, but she’s probably a frigid bitch who won’t give most guys the time of day. That brings her down a couple notches in the “attractiveness” column.
The second biggest piece of this is that fact that as a whole, we men are lazy fucks. We don’t like to have to work too hard for anything. And women who are truly great people, super smart, blah blah blah, might actually end up being great in bed, but we don’t want to have to go through all the hoops you have to go through to get to the pot of gold at the end of that painful rainbow. Ultimately we want sex. And if that means we can get it from an easy girl very easily without having to hear about her dying grandmother and her 15 cats, then we will usually choose that path assuming she is at least somewhat attractive. It’s all on a scale like the Barney Stinson Crazy Hot scale, where a woman’s easiness is on the y axis and her attractiveness is on the x axis. Basically there is a sweet spot near the middle where a girl is both fairly easy and also fairly attractive. Get a few drinks in them and that curve gets dropped a little meaning their easiness level gets a little higher (aka easier lay) with the same level of attractiveness.

Basically if you are a little drunk you are more “attractive” because we know you will be a little more willing to have sex. And as far as this article talks about “exploitability” is utter bullshit. We aren’t exploiting shit. What one person’s exploitation is another persons golden opportunity!
I’ve done a lot of research in the sexual psychology arena. Sure, its evolutionary more advantageous to go for females that are more likely to be open to sexual advances and short term relationships (one nighters). But many women are interested in long-term relationships and that means playing the game. Anyways a man almost never stays with a woman he thinks is an easy catch. Where’s the challenge in that? I don’t see a bunch of males lining up to marry strippers and porn stars.
