John Legend And Model Chrissy Teigen Are Engaged
People: “Ordinary People” soul singer John Legend is doing something extraordinary – he’s getting married.
“John Legend and his girlfriend, model Chrissy Teigen, got engaged over the holidays while vacationing in the Maldives,” Legend’s rep, Cindi Berger, tells PEOPLE.
No further details were provided, but Legend’s whereabouts this coming weekend are being reported in Las Vegas newspapers.
The singer, 32, will be performing at The Pearl at the Palms on New Year’s Eve. His latest album, with The Roots, is Wake Up!.
I always say that I never understand why celebrities bother to get married because most of them, well the guys anyway, want to capitalize on their fame and nail all the pussy they can get and probably will continue to even after getting married. But in this case, I think this might have been a smart move on John Legend’s part. He had made a name for himself a while back with that “Ordinary People” song and has made some money as a songwriter, etc. But he hasn’t made a real name for himself out there. A lot of people probably don’t even know who he is. So it was smart of him to snap up a model while he still could. Although I really don’t know who this chick is anyway.
