Boston: An MBTA police officer is suspended after he was caught mailing dead rats. The I-Team has learned it stemmed from possible involvement with prostitutes. The officer is accused of putting at least two rats in the mail.

MBTA Police Officer Greg Thorpe is off the job tonight. The officer who has only been on the job for a few years was caught mailing dead rats to a Hyde Park man.

he rats were mailed about ten days ago from a UPS store in South Boston.

Sources tell WBZ Officer Thorpe was caught on video by security cameras in the UPS customer service center in South Boston. Sources say he was seen mailing two packages, and at one point the source says he looks at the security camera and smiles.

Sources say Officer Thorpe’s girlfriend offered her personal services on Craigslist.com and that the uniformed officer would drive her and her friends to appointments in his marked MBTA cruiser during his midnight shift, offering protection.

Sources say one man never paid one of the girls and so Thorpe mailed him the rats.

Huh? Someone please repeat this to me??? So this guy’s an MBTA police officer (are they real cops or just a step above mall security?) and his GIRLFRIEND is a prostitute. So this police officer dude drives his girlfriend to go bang dudes she meets through Craigslist?? And how does one guy just not pay? Does he drop off his chick and leave? Why the fuck wouldn’t he stay and make sure she isn’t dead and that she actually gets the money??? What the fuck is the point of mailing a dead rat? Isn’t that some sort of Sicilian sign for someone who talked to the cops? I’m all kinds of confused here. There’s no way these two were really boyfriend and girlfriend though right? More like Pimp and Hoe. Has to be. MBTA cop barely making any money and trying to break into the pimpin game. But dude, ain’t you ever heard the song Pimpin Ain’t Easy??? You gotta keep your pimp hand strong! Get yo ass in there and bust some heads when they don’t pay. Call their wife. Etc. Act like you know what your doing.
